In my first little bit of time playing at Ravelry, I was invited to join a group called the Crochet Liberation Front. Well, over at the blog, our grand poobah is awarding the “Set My Picot Free!” award for awesome crochet, and I won!

I won for this, which is my own variation on the PDQ from Stitch ‘N Bitch Crochet: The Happy Hooker.

I don’t know what a picot is, but that hat is gorgeous.

I carried your red bag (newly adorned with a needle-worked strawberry that I am eager for you to see) to my office Xmas party and it gathered many a compliment. Also, I am looking forward to wearing your hat in OKC. I always get a bit swolen with pride whenever I brag, “My friend made it.”
