Excitement and Adventure!
I’ve written before about how I love to read about the crochet design process. I love this for two reasons: one, because it’s just interesting and two, because I hope to learn from reading about it how to better do it myself. (So far, my design process consists of: collage of ideas, sketch, mess around until I get it right. I have produced one original design so far.)
In order to get a good idea of how some designers work, I’m emailing various designers and asking them for interviews. I’ve received two yesses so far! (I just made “yesses” a word!) So on Monday I’ll be posting my interview with Robyn Chachula of crochet by faye. After that, I’ll be interviewing Missa Hills, the midnight knitter.
I’m also going to attempt to work up a pattern for my lone original design. I think with some very careful counting, I should be able to figure out how I did it.
