Geeky Crochet #1: Bobomb
I’ve already confessed my love for Sprite Stitch, but I don’t know of any sites where they’re collecting geeky crocheted objects, so I’m doing that here for your perusal. I thought about setting up a separate blog for it, but instead I’m just going to give it a special category here.
I feel a need to distinguish between nerdy crochet and geeky crochet. If I make a post about nerdy crochet (possible but unlikely) that will be something like the hyperbolic planes you may have seen everywhere or perhaps a Fibonacci sequence scarf. I do love the Fibonacci sequence. Geeky crochet on the other hand, will have more to do with pop culture in the categories of video games, science fiction, and fantasy.
Thus, I give you: Mickey from Hyperbolia’s “The Bomb from Mario Bros,” or as some of you may know him, Bobomb. The post includes a pattern.
