About

lectitans chronicles one woman’s reactions to the things she reads.

Here at lectitans, I review books, post reading-related internet memes, interview authors, participate in and publicize book-related events, and advocate for multiple literacies. From 2006 – 2009, I was a Latin Teacher in Raleigh, North Carolina. In August 2009, I entered the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to pursue certification as a School Media Coordinator.

I love to read young adult novels, science fiction, and fantasy. I have been known to dabble in the reading of paranormal romance. My non-fiction interests include organization, health and fitness, crochet history and technique, gardening, and personal finance.

Review/Interview Policy: I am normally happy to receive invitations to review books or interview authors. I do my best to review every book that I receive, but I only post reviews that are largely favorable. I do not guarantee to post reviews of any books I receive by any particular date. I am happy to post interviews by a certain deadline if they are part of a blog tour. Otherwise, I do not guarantee a specific posting time. I do not review picture books or children’s non-fiction.

PLEASE NOTE: I am currently refraining from accepting or requesting review copies as I am overwhelmed with (very enjoyable) assigned reading for my library school classes. I will begin considering review copies again in May 2011.

To contact me regarding reviews or interviews, please email me at lectitans [at] gmail [dot] com.
