About
Welcome! My name is Kimberly Hirsh and I am a graduate student, educator, performer, and internet aficionado. This website is an online business card, a repository for all of my online goings-on, and a web design portfolio.
I first entered the online world in 1995 with a personal page and some Sailor Moon fansites. Ah, youth. By 1996 I was designing websites for local organizations. I have been blogging since 2001.
In 2004, I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with my Master of Arts in Teaching Latin. Since then, I have been working in various high schools in North Carolina to help students relate ancient Roman life and literature to the modern world. I am especially interested in how technology can assist students in making these connections.
I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Library Science at the UNC-CH School of Information and Library Science.
kimberlyhirsh.com is published using WordPress and the Peaceful Rush theme. The mermaid logo was designed by my mother, Lisa Hirsh, a freelance graphic designer.
